例年カナダでは、春から9月頃まで多くの山火事が発生します。現在も一部の地域において避難警報が発令されています。
山火事の規模によっては、自治体による避難指示や道路封鎖が行われたり、山火事が空港や線路付近で発生した場合には、煙や降灰の影響で視界が悪くなり、飛行機や列車の遅延およびこれに伴う混雑が発生する可能性があります。また、インフラの損傷により停電が発生する可能性もあります。
在留・滞在地域において大規模な山火事が発生し、州政府等から避難勧告や命令が発出された場合は、当局の指示に従い避難するなど、身の安全確保に努めてください。
